Working for you

From the initial consultation onwards, we take the time to understand your business. At all times, we focus on the most important questions - "What do you wish to achieve?" and "How can we get the best results for you?".

We come to you and meet at your offices, so that we can better understand you, your staff and your business

We can structure the way we work with you to suit your needs. For example, we can become your virtual corporate counsel or virtual company secretary.

You do not have to come in to our office, you can do it all online and on the telephone.

We speak plainly and clearly. Our documents are easy to read and written so that you can understand them.

We offer numerous fee options including a fee on success or fixed fee plan to suit your requirements.

We offer convenient transparent legal services with excellent response time and greater price certainty.

Providing value for money

Our experience allows Carter Lawyers to provide you with better solutions in less time and at less expense.

Carter Lawyers want to be part of your team and will invest the time in your business to develop the relationship and understanding necessary to provide value for money.

We are conscious that time out of your business is a costly distraction and will work with you to minimise this.  Providing value for money means that we focus on keeping our expenses down but also ensuring that your time is used effectively.

Our online services and information will help save you time and enable you to brief lawyers more efficiently and therefore reduce your cost.

Carter Lawyers are commercial focused and result driven. We take a pragmatic business approach to your legal and commercial issues.

Our charge out rates are considerably less than larger firms containing lawyers with similar experience and seniority.

Carter Lawyers charges in actual time - not in blocks of 6 or 10 minutes. We do not charge for any time under 5 minutes.

Carter Lawyers do not charge for internal disbursements, such as photocopying, facsimiles, postage, mobile, interstate and international phone calls, local transport, secretarial, administrative or law clerk time. We do not charge for travel time and we do not charge travel expenses (other than interstate or international flights). Put simply, you only pay for costs when we incur them on your behalf.

We can create ready-to-use templates of your most frequently used documents and provide you and your staff with training to assist you in handling your common legal and commercial issues.

We offer numerous fee options to suit your needs, including:

  • fee on success to share financial risk
  • fixed fee plans
  • an hourly rate

We understand that to run your business a degree of certainty on your expenses is necessary.
